Are sinners dead, even those who call themselves Christians? They’re spiritually dead.  Why?  Because they harbor sin.  Maybe they’re not murderers, adulterers, or alcoholics.  Maybe they’re just greedy or religious.  Maybe they just don’t tell the truth all the time.  And they won’t come to God honestly saying, “God, here I am, you know my heart.”  He can work with an honest heart and give the power to repent from sin.
